This FYAC is centered around crocheting and creating community. Attendees will learn about campus resources, connect with their peers, and explore a new or existing hobby. While some basic crochet knowledge is recommended, all skill levels are welcome. Participants can expect to learn and practice foundational crochet techniques, follow crochet patterns, and experiment with freehand creations. Projects may include granny squares for blankets, granny-square triangles for bandanas, granny-square hexagons for shirts, and a surprise project designed for more experienced fiber artists.

- Cedric Revera, M.A. He/Him/His I've been a Resident Director with UC Davis Student Housing for the past four years. I earned my bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies and my master's degree in Higher Education Leadership from CSUN. I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley and later moved to Davis from the San Fernando Valley. I learned to crochet as a kid, but I've been crocheting regularly for the past four years. It's become one of my favorite hobbies, and I hope it brings you as much joy as it has brought me.
