Bio
Jahmese Williams, PhD serves as Associate Director of First Year Experience, where she leads academic support, peer mentoring, and transition programming designed to help new undergraduate students at UC Davis thrive from their first day on campus. Student success, retention, and belonging have been the focus of her decade longer career in higher education which includes UC San Diego and UW Madison. Her previous experience as a nonprofit leader in Sacramento informs her current approach to cross campus collaboration and community partnerships.
Outside of work, Jahmese enjoys crafting, trying new restaurants, and making new memories with her partner and children.
